Third-Party Services & Sub-processors

We use the following third-party services (sub-processors) to operate Barterloom. Each processes user data only as necessary to provide our service:

• Google (Gmail, Calendar, Tasks): Access to your Gmail, Calendar, and Tasks via OAuth for inbox management, scheduling, and task tracking
• OpenAI: Powers email triage, AI chat responses, and smart reply generation
• ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech synthesis for the voice assistant feature
• Deepgram: Speech-to-text transcription for the voice assistant feature
• Supabase: Database hosting and data storage
• Vercel: Application hosting and serverless function execution
• Firebase (Google): User authentication and identity management

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your data is only shared with the third-party service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating our service. We do not share, rent, or trade your personal information with any other parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your data according to the following policies:

• Email data: Retained while your account is active and synced from Gmail
• Chat history: AI assistant conversation history is retained while your account is active
• Calendar and task data: Retained while your account is active and synced from Google
• Account deletion: You can delete all your data at any time via the Settings page. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed from our systems within 24 hours

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: View all data we hold about you at any time via the Settings page
• Right to Export: Download all your data in a portable JSON format via Settings
• Right to Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data permanently via Settings
• Right to Correction: Update your personal information through your account settings
• Revoke Access: Disconnect your Google account and revoke our access to your data at any time through your Google account settings

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users via email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in compliance with GDPR requirements.

Your data may be processed in the United States where our hosting providers (Vercel, Supabase) operate. By using Barterloom, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Barterloom of California's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
